Brian Crowdson has over 18 years experience as a videographer. Since 2002, Brian has been the Production Manager for Comcast Spotlight (formerly Insight Media) in Springfield and Decatur Illinois. Insight Media specializes in producing affordable television commercials for businesses in and around Springfield, Decatur, Champaign/Urbana, Danville, Mattoon, Charleston, Jacksonville, Lincoln, and Effingham.
Brian has also been the head of Access-4, Springfield’s Public Access Station, funded by Comcast, since March ‘06.
Prior to becoming Production Manager at Insight, Brian worked as a Producer for Springfield’s previous cable systems (Times-Mirror, Cox, TCI, and AT&T) for two four-year stints. In-between cable gigs, he worked for numerous other companies, including news stations WICS and WAND, KOST Broadcast, ESPN, Advanced Audio Video, St. George Productions, Tims on Location, SIU School of Medicine, WILL-TV and many others.
Brian is also the winner of multiple ADDY awards.
Jon Schwab is Brian’s collaborator, co-director, and editor. Jon has a Masters Degree in Communication with an emphasis on video production. His Masters project was a documentary on Springfield’s music scene. Jon has worked for Insight Media, Advanced Audio-Video, and the University of Illinois Office of Electronic Media. In addition to being a talented editor, Jon is also a graphic designer and guitarist, formerly with St. Louis-area band Stephano’s Plan.
Tony Thompson is a very talented cameraman. A 23-year veteran of WICS NewsChannel 20, he now freelances for whoever can afford him.
